NCF Men's and Women's Cross Country finished its inaugural regular season with a strong performance at the Ed Holloway XC Classic at Lakeland's Holloway Park on Friday.
The men finished 7th out of 8 teams, finishing ahead of NCAA DII Eckerd, while a season-high four women participated.Â
Natheer Suied paced the NCF Men running a season-best 8K 28:03, finishing 36th overall and the best among NAIA runners.
Xavier Rivera-Melendez finished right behind Suied in 41st place as he ran a season-best 28:30.
Andrew Rodriguez ran a 30:38 to finish in 59th,
Owen Euler finished at 30:45 to place in 62nd,
Alex Llanos finished at 32:02, placing in 69th, while
Pierce Mihailoff rounded out the Mighty Banyan men at 35:03, finishing in 74th place.
On the women's side,
Arianna Childs placed 45th at 27:12, while Abigail Retberg finished in 61st at 31:19.
Both
Genevieve Michal and
Naomi Nerlien completed their first race of the season as Michal finished 67th at 41:58 and Nerlien placed 71st at 48:03.
NCF will return to action Nov. 8 in Savannah, Georgia, at the Sun Conference XC Meet.
