NCF Men's Golf finished its fall slate by competing at Warrior's Nancy Nichols Matchplay hosted by Webber at Sun 'N Lake Golf Club in Sebring Monday and Tuesday.
As a team, NCF went 0-3 in its three matches, finishing in eighth place, but did have many strong individual performances.
Sean O'Reilly and
Avery Shahriari both went 2-1 in their individual matchups,
Oscar Munoz went 1-2, while both
Bryce Ballard and
Jackson Krueger went 0-3.
In Round 1, NCF fell 3-2 to Southeastern with O'Reilly
defeating Spencer McCranie by two strokes and Shahriari taking down Marley Read by four strokes.
Round 2 saw NCF fall to SCAD Savannah 3-2, with O'Reilly defeating Valentin Klawitter by two strokes and Shahriari defeating Luke Guthrie also by two strokes.
The final round saw NCF lose 4-1 to Point University, but Munoz defeated Duncan Howie by two strokes.
On the weekend, Munoz placed tied for the fifth-best score of any of the 40 golfers at the event on Par 3's at just one over, Shahriari finished tied for the fifth-best score on Par 5's at four-under, while O'Reilly finished at par in 33 of 54 holes, also ranking tied for fifth-best.
NCF will begin its spring slate Feb. 9-10 at Coastal Georgia.
