NCF Men's and Women's Cross Country completed its inaugural seasons Saturday at the Sun Conference Championships at Sargeant Jasper Park in Hardeeville, South Carolina.
Both teams finished seventh out of seven teams.
In the Men's 8K,
Xavier Rivera-Melendez posted a team-best time of 28:25.2 to finish 42nd overall out of 77 runners.
Andrew Rodriguez finished second on the team and 45th overall at 28:55.3, followed by
Owen Euler at 30:29.0 in 62nd place,
Natheer Suied at 30:29.5 in 63rd place and
Pierce Mihailoff at 34:10.0 in 75th place.
In the Women's 6K race,
Arianna Childs paced the way for the Mighty Banyans, finishing with a time of 27:07.3 to place 42nd out of 63 runners.
She was followed by
Abby Retberg at 32:02.2 in 54th place,
Olivia Haddock at 37:30.4 in 59th and
Naomi Nerlien at 46:46.3 in 63rd.
