NCF Men's and Women's Tennis both fell on the road at Saint Leo Thursday as both teams are now 1-4 on the season.
The men fell by a final of 7-0 while the women fell 6-1.
Men's Recap
Saint Leo took the doubles point to start off the Men's match and took home the match after Jose David Segovia swept
Carlos Quinones in the No. 2 singles match, Eduardo Cohen swept Â
Konstantin Kukaras in the No. 3 match and Dylan Andrianaly swept
Timothy Phung in the No. 1 match.
The two teams played past the deciding match and the Lions were able to claim the remaining three singles matches; however,
Patrick Janikian did take Sander Sootla to three sets in the No. 6 singles match.
Women's Recap
The NCF Women's lone point in its 6-1 loss came via a victory in the No. 2 singles match from
Madeleine Chellas over Deren Ozel.
While the Rams took home the doubles point by winning two of the three matches, NCF's
Itza Rogel and
Emilia Schulte did team up to defeat Candice Bernier and Catherine Rabatin in the No. 1 doubles match.
In the singles play, Schulte in the No. 3 singles match and Rogel in the No. 4 singles match each took their opponent to three set.
Schulte's loss to Nicol Novak proved to be the match-clinching point for the Lions.
Up Next: Both the NCF Men and Women will return to action March 9 when it matches up with Oakland City in Orlando.
