BRADENTON, Fla. - A busy weekend facing off against ranked conference opponents saw No. 25 ranked NCF Men's Tennis go 2-0 and NCF Women's 0-2 at IMG Academy, with the men defeating both No. 22 SCAD Savannah and No. 15 Coastal Georgia, while the women fell to No. 7 SCAD and No. 22 Coastal Georgia. The matches were NCF's final two at home on the season and of Sun Conference regular-season play.
On the year, the NCF Men improved to  8-6 overall and finished Sun Conference regular season play 5-2, while the women fell to 5-10 overall and finished 2-5 in conference play.
NCF Men vs. No. 22 SCAD Savannah Recap
The Mighty Banyan Men  secured a victory over No. 22 SCAD Savannah Friday at IMG Academy, bouncing back after dropping the doubles point with a strong showing in singles play.
In doubles, New College earned a win at No. 3 as
Carlos Quinones and
Timothy Phung took a 6-3 decision.
Konstantin Kukaras and
Pedro Lemos fell 7-5 at No. 1, while
Hugo Fidler and
Patrick Janikian dropped a 6-1 match at No. 2 as SCAD claimed the doubles point.
In singles, New College responded with wins across the lineup.
Quinones rallied for a three-set victory at No. 2, 4-6, 6-4, 6-2. Fidler followed with a 6-4, 6-2 win at No. 3, and Kukaras added a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 4.
Lemos clinched the team victory at No. 5, securing a 7-5, 6-4 win.
NCF Men vs. No. 15 Coastal Georgia Recap
New College of Florida earned a 4-2 victory over Coastal Georgia on Saturday, securing the doubles point and adding three wins in singles play.
In doubles, New College took control with wins on courts two and three.
Quinones and Phung earned a 6-1 victory at No. 2, while Janikian and Fidler followed with a 6-4 win at No. 3 to secure the point. Lemos and Kukaras led 5-3 at No. 1 when play concluded.
In singles, New College picked up key wins across the lineup. Phung delivered a 6-3, 6-5 win at No. 1. Quinones battled through a four-set match at No. 2, taking it 6-7, 6-5, 6-1. Fidler added a 6-1, 6-4 victory at No. 3.
Lemos clinched the team victory at No. 5, earning a hard-fought 7-6, 1-6, 6-4 win.
NCF Women vs. No. 7 SCAD Savannah Recap
New College of Florida fell 4-0 to No. 7 SCAD Savannah  Friday, dropping the doubles point and unable to recover in singles play.
In doubles,
Camila Cardona-Carballosa and
Madeleine Chellas earned a 6-1 win at No. 2, but
Emilia Schulte and
Itza Rogel were defeated 6-4 at No. 1, while
Gia Rizzo and
Alexandra Sibrikova fell 6-0 at No. 3 as the Bees secured the doubles point.
In singles, Chellas dropped her match at No. 1, 6-4, 3-2. Cardona-Carballosa fell 7-5, 3-1 at No. 2, while  Schulte was defeated 6-0, 4-4 at No. 3. Rogel dropped her match 6-3, 3-2 at No. 4.
Sibrikova and
Vanesa Streitova were both defeated in straight sets at No. 5 and No. 6 as New College was swept in singles play.
NCF Women vs. No. 22 Coastal Georgia
New College of Florida fell 4-1 in women's tennis action against Coastal Georgia Saturday, dropping the doubles point and were unable to recover in singles play.
In doubles, Schulte and Rogel were edged 7-6, 7-0 at No. 1. Chellas and Cardona-Carballosa won 6-4 at No. 2, but Sibrikova and Streitova were defeated 6-0 at No. 3 as
Coastal Georgia secured the early point.
In singles, Chellas picked up the lone point for New College at No. 1, leading 5-2 before her opponent retired from the match.
Cardona-Carballosa dropped her match 6-1, 6-0 at No. 2, while Sibrikova and Rizzo each fell in straight sets at No. 5 and No. 6 as Coastal Georgia secured the team victory.
