Coach Nunez is entering her second season on staff with New College of Florida Softball.
Coach Nunez grew up on the Seminole Tribe of Florida's Brighton Indian Reservation. and has coaches several travel ball leagues and Native American youth softball tournaments.
Prior to starting her college coaching career, Nunez played two seasons for State College of Florida. Nunez finished her career with a .364 batting average, and in 2019, she led the team in hits (67) and set a team record for stolen bases in a single season with 38. Nunez stellar season put her atop the all time record for steals at State College (61). She was named First Team All-Conference and Second Team All-State, as well as being selected as the school's Female Athlete of the Year for 2018-2019.
Nunez went on to play one season at the University of South Carolina Upstate.
Coach Nunez earned her Bachelors Degree in Sociology from the University of South Florida in 2021.
Coach Nunez joined the staff at New College for their inaugural season in 2023. She previously served as an assistant coach at State College of Florida for two seasons.
