Box Score BABSON PARK, Fla. - The Mighty Banyans men's basketball team lost a competitive match-up against NAIA receiving votes Webber International 81-91.
The Mighty Banyans (1-8) traveled to Webber International (7-2) hoping to continue their rapid improvement following a close loss to Truett McConnell on Thursday.
The Banyans were impressive at the offensive end of the floor in the first half. Banyans guard
Schuyler Pimentel continued his streak of stellar offensive play with 15 first half points. Pimentel also reached a major milestone, recording his 1000 career point. Pimentel has been an intricate part of the New College offense, and he continues to impress for the Mighty Banyan offense. Senior guard
Jordan Clark also impressed in the first half, scoring 9 of his 27 points on over 50% shooting from the field. The Banyan's defense held Webber to 25% shooting from the three point line, but narrowly trailed the Warriors 39-36 at the halfway point.
The Mighty Banyans offense was even better in the second half.
Jordan Clark scored 18 points on 8-11 shooting from the field, pressuring the Warriors defense on all three levels.
Schuyler Pimentel and
Jackson Dawson both added 6 points, and the team shot 51% from the field overall. While improving on the offensive end, the Banyan's defense faltered in the second half. The Banyan's defense recorded 13 fouls in the period, leading to 19 Warrior free throws. Webber International capitalized on the Banyan mistakes, knocking down 89.5% of their attempts at the line. The free-throw differential was too much for New College to overcome, with Webber International winning the contest 81-91.
Jordan Clark led the Banyans with 27 points and 3 assists.
Schuyler Pimentel added 21 points, 3 rebounds, and 3 assists.

Jackson Dawson all added over 7 points, and led the Banyans on the glass.
New College is back in action on Mon, Dec. 11, at No. 17 Ave Maria University.
