SARASOTA, Fla. – New College women's soccer scores 5 in a dominant victory over Warner University to close out the 2024 season.
 
The Mighty Banyans women's soccer team put up their best performance of the season in their final matchup of 2024, scoring 5 goals in a win at Warner University.
 
The Banyans dominated both sides of the ball in the match, making their first mark in the game's 6^th minute. The Banyans forwards pressured the Royals' defense deep in their end. The Royals, struggling with the pressure, made a crucial mistake and gave the Banyans the lead via an own goal.
 
The Banyans continued to execute, extending their lead to two and then three before the end of the first half. Alexandra Sibrikova scored off a header from Rylee O'Shea to give the Banyans their second goal in the game's 10^th minute. Rylee O'Shea scored the Banyan's third goal 13 minutes later, scoring off a set-piece.
 
New College continued its offensive rhythm in the second frame. Consuelo Di Maria and Gabriela Medeiros scored in the 51st and 84th minutes, Increasing the lead to 5 in the Banyans' highest-scoring conference match of the season.
 
The Banyans finish their first season in the NAIA and Sun Conference with a 4-7-1 record. Their 2-5-1 Sun Conference record saw them finish in 7^th in the conference this season.
