SARASOTA, Fla - College men's soccer finished their final game of the season in a 1-1 tie against the Warner University Royals at home.
Defense dominated the first half as both teams were held scoreless with New College recording four shots on goal (shots on goal) to Warner's five. Goalkeeper
Henrique Furlan was a bright spot of a first half that saw little action, making two saves in the first 45 minutes of play.
Ten minutes into the second half, the Banyans would be the team to strive first as Robbie Jones found the net with an assist from
Alexander Greaves. New College appeared to separate following the goal, dominating time of possession and tallying twelve SOGs, but Warner did just enough to keep it a one goal game nearing the end of the contest. With five minutes remaining, the Royals scored a goal to tie it at 1-1, which would be the final score of the contest.
Following the tie at home, New College men's soccer finish their season with a 3-9-3 record. Fabian Dolal is the goal leader for the team, with three goals on the season. Behind him are Greaves (2),
Kais Sabic (2), and
Andrew Scott (2). Goalkeeper
Mathis Leveque finished with 58 saves on the year in 13 games played.
