SARASOTA, Fla. - The New College of Florida Beach Volleyball team announced the hiring of Sammy Gibson to the program's coaching staff for the upcoming season. 

Gibson brings a wealth of experience to our program as a player and coach.

Coach Gibson competed for six years in AVP Nexts, AVP Tours, and Juniors USA events. His Indoor Volleyball experience includes a standout season at Hunter College, where he led the team in service aces as a service specialist in 2019. 

Before joining NCF, Gibson spent three years as a student assistant at the University of Tampa, where he honed his coaching skills at the collegiate level. He stepped into the assistant beach coach position at Eckerd College where he continued his development as a collegiate beach coach for 2 years.  He also served as a beach volleyball coach for two years at the Optimum Beach Volleyball Club in St. Petersburg and still coaches in the west coast of Florida coaching all levels of athletes up to the pro level.
