NATHAN CUNNINGHAM READY TO LEAD NEW COLLEGE ESPORTS PROGRAM

SARASOTA, Fla. - Nathan Cunningham is set to lead New College E-Sports as they begin preparations for the 2025 school year. 

Cunningham is the new Director of E-sports at New College of Florida set to begin the inaugural season of E-sports in Fall 2025. Nathan is currently a student at the University of Florida, planning to finish his M.S. in Sport Management by December 2024. He also got married to his wife Anna in September shortly after starting his career at New College of Florida in 2024.

Nathan grew up in Tampa, FL with a traditional sports background competing in Lacrosse, Soccer, and BMX. Before graduating in 2019 he was recruited to play E-sports and continue his education at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida.

Nathan competed in Overwatch/Overwatch 2 and was captain of the team from 2019-2022 before graduating with a B.S. in Psychology. His main accomplishment was winning NACE Varsity Plus Division 1 in Fall 2022 with a 10-0 record and a map record of 30-0.
 
After graduating, Nathan became the Head Coach of E-sports at Keiser University (New Port Richey, Florida) from 2023-2024. Although only at the program for one full season Nathan coached his Valorant team in their first season to ECAC playoffs in Spring 2024 and the Apex Legends cross-campus team to 5th in Octane Collegiate Split 3 Finals.
