LAKELAND, Fla. – Men's Basketball claws to victory in overtime at Southeastern.
The Mighty Banyans picked up their second consecutive Sun Conference victory in a 96-94 overtime thriller at Southeastern.
Charlie Yoder stole the show on the road. The senior guard was again excellent in the high-powered shootout, scoring a game-high 26 points and grabbing 20 rebounds in the win.
Yoder was not alone in his excellence, as each member of the Banyans played their role perfectly in the win.

Andrew Wingreen. "To go into a hostile environment like this and come away with a victory is always impressive. We're getting better every day and you can see that on and off the court. It's going to be an exciting second half of the year for us."
The Banyans were efficient in all aspects of the game. The Banyans only allowed Southeastern to accumulate a 4-point lead once on the night, their largest lead of the game.
The Banyan's largest lead was 11 with just over 10 minutes to go in half-number two. The Fire fought their way back into the game in the final minutes, knocking down two clutch free throws to send the game to OT.
Freshman guard
Diego Eslava made his mark in the overtime period. The Sharpshooter exploded in the clutch, scoring 8 points in the final 5 minutes of play to propel the Banyans to victory.
Eslava finished the game with 22 points and 4 rebounds. The freshman also knocked down an impressive 6 of his 12 attempts from beyond the arc.
Jordan Clark was also electric on the night, tallying 19 points to go along with 6 rebounds and 3 assists.
Jack Scott and
Giovanni Toscanini combined for 22 points, scoring big-time buckets late in the contest.
The Banyans will be back in action on Wednesday, January 15
th for a match up with Webber International.
