• NCF has won each of its last three matches, which included a 3-1 victory at Keiser last Saturday that saw Soraya Nacero lead the Mighty Banyans with 16 kills.
• Jayleen Santiago was named Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week on Monday after recording a season-high 30 kills in a win over Webber last Wednesday and recording 14 kills at Keiser. Maria Luiza Barreis was named the Sun Conference Defender of the Week after recording 35 digs against Webber and 13 against Keise while not committing any reception errors.
• At 6-2 in Sun Conference play, the Mighty Banyans sit just half a game out of first place in the standings behind Southeastern (6-1) and St. Thomas (6-1).
• Since beating NCF on Sept. 5, Ave Maria is 3-5 with wins over Florida Memorial, Warner, and Keiser and two losses to Florida College and one to Southeastern, No. 12 St. Thomas, and Webber.
• Beatriz Rissi leads Ave Maria with 100 kills on the season, Caroline Myers leads the team with 224 assists while Maylis DeTar has posted a team-leading 190 digs.
