OF NOTE

  • NCF suffered its first home loss of the season Saturday, falling 1-0 to SCAD Savannah. The loss came despite the Mighty Banyans outshooting the Bees 16-11 overall and getting off eight shots on goal, while SCAD only fired off six on target, but a free kick goal from Mario Goic at the 64:39 mark proved to be all SCAD needed to leave the Sunshine State with the victory.
  • At 2-2-0 in Sun Conference play, the Mighty Banyans sit fifth in the standings behind SCAD, Keiser, St. Thomas and Southeastern and ahead of Florida Memorial, Ave Maria, Webber and Warner.
  • Cameron Johnson leads NCF and the Sun Conference with 11 goals so far this season. The Mighty Banyans' 44 goals on the year rank tied for the eighth most in the NAIA and lead the Sun Conference.
  • NCF is outscoring opponents 44-12 on the year.
  • St. Thomas will take a 7-4-1 overall record and 3-1 Sun Conference mark into Wednesday's match. In non-conference play, the Bobcats earned wins over No. 19 Mid-America Christian, Spring Arbor, Barry and Florida College, took losses to Tennessee Southern, No. 18 Cumberland University and drew with Florida National. While in Sun Conference play, the Bobcats have defeated Florida Memorial, Ave Maria and Webber and have lost to Keiser.
  • Thiago Patto and Bouget Bouzis lead the Bobcats with six goals each on the year, while goaltender Sandro Cabral has made 22 saves on the year while allowing nine goals.
