BRADENTON, Fla. - NCF Men's Basketball opened the 2025-26 season with an offensive explosion as the Mighty Banyans broke the century mark with a 105-79 home win over Trinity College.
The Mighty Banyans led for all but 16 seconds in the victory as it took a commanding 52-28 lead into halftime and outscored the Tigers by two in the second half to close out a 26-point victory.
NCF shot an impressive 39-79 (49.3%) from the field and shot 10-for-29 (34.4%) from three and also dominated the boards, out rebounding the Tigers 58-28.
Fourteen different Banyans scored in the victory as NCF picked up 45 points from its bench.
Guard
Adrian Moore led NCF with 19 points and was joined in double figures by
Giovanni Toscanini (14),
Mojo Chisler (14),
Alex Excellent (11) and
Shawn Lefresne (10).
Lefresne added a team-leading 15 rebounds from his point guard position while also dishing five assists and picking up a steal.
The Mighty Banyans will return to action Monday when it takes on NCAA DI Florida Gulf Coast in a 7 p.m. EST Exhibition in Fort Myers.
