NCF Women's Basketball earned its first road victory of the season Wednesday, defeating Beacon College 69-36 in Leesburg.
The Mighty Banyans put together an impressive rebounding display as it out-rebounded the Blazers 70-26 grabbing 35 rebounds the offensive and defensive end.
Tatina Jackson led NCF in scoring with 10 points followed by
Emma Reiser with nine and both
Gwen Tsoukalas and
Julia Pacheco with eight.
Eihlan Fitch (12), Pacheco (10),
Hanna Valdes (10), and
Salyse Dillihay (10) all finished with double-digit rebounds. Fitch and
Camila Zbynski each dished a team-high six assists, while
Kaitlyn Rittenhouse picked up a team-high four steals.
The Mighty Banyans are now 2-1 on the season and will return to action next Wednesday when it welcomes Ave Maria to SCF-Bradenton for its Sun Conference opener at 5 p.m. EST.
