NCF Men's Basketball suffered a 122-67 loss to NCAA DI foe North Florida in Jacksonville, Saturday, in its second and final NCAA DI exhibition of the season.
The Mighty Banyans hold its own for much of the first half as a layup from
Ben Walker gave NCF a 34-33 lead with 6:40 left in the half but from there the Ospryes closed out the opening half on a 22-9 run to take a 55-43 lead into halftime.
From there, it was all North Florida as UNF outscored NCF 67-24 in the second half.
Diego Eslava led the Mighty Banyans with 16 points. He was joined in double figures by
Shawn Lefresne (12) and Walker (11).
Walker pulled down a team-high seven rebounds, Lefresne dished a team-high three assists, Walker,
Bowman Holloway, and
Jonathan Olodude all recorded a steal, while
Mojo Chisler,
Parker Dunnihoo, and
Jackson Dawson each picked up a block.
NCF will return to action Wednesday when it hosts No. 8 Ave Maria in its Sun Conference opener at 7 p.m. EST.Â
