BRADENTON, Fla. - NCF Men's Basketball moved back to .500 Tuesday with a 104-87 victory over visiting Beacon College.
NCF took a 54-41 lead into halftime as the Mighty Banyans shot 50% (10-for-20) from three in the opening half.
Beacon cut NCF's lead down to nine with 17:02 to go, but would never get back within single digits as the Mighty Banyans outscored the Blazers 50-46 in the half to secure a 17-point home victory.
Giovanni Toscanini led NCF with 22 points and was joined in double figures by
Diego Eslava (21),
Colby Chapman (21),
Shawn Lefresne (11) and
Jackson Dawson (10).
Toscanini posted a team-high eight rebounds, Lefresne dished a team-high seven assists, Toscanini and Dawson each picked up three steals, and
Bowman Holloway blocked a team-leading two shots.
The Mighty Banyans are now 3-3 on the year, and will be back in action Sunday when it hosts Embry-Riddle Aeronautical (AZ) at 4 p.m. EST.
