BRADENTON, Fla. - NCF Women's Basketball finished off a season sweep of non-conference foe Beacon College with an 88-56 home victory Tuesday.
The Mighty Banyans opened the game on a 12-0 run, but Beacon answered with a 12-0 run of its own to tie the game later in the first quarter before NCF eventually took an 18-15 lead into the second.
NCF outscored Beacon 27-16 in the second half to take a 45-31 lead into halftime and cruised from there, outscoring the Lady Blazers 43-25 in the second half to earn the lopsided home victory.
Gwen Tsoukalas scored a team-high 21 points off the bench for NCF while adding five rebounds and two assists.Â
She was joined in double figures by
Emma Reiser (14),
Halle Shelt (11) and
Julia Pacheco (10).
Pacheco earned a double-double as she added a team-leading 15 rebounds.
As a team, NCF splashed a season-high 11 three-pointers.
The Mighty Banyans will be back in action next Tuesday at Trinity College of Jacksonville in a 6 p.m. EST non-conference tilt. Â
