The Lady Banyans lost their road matchup to Warner 79-73 on Wednesday.
The Royals got off to a great start by draining four three pointers in the first four minutes to get off to a 14 point lead. At that point the Royals would not look back.
The Banyans did their best to keep up with the three point barrage by the Royals with 4 points from Sierra Moore in the first quarter but found themselves down ten going into the second quarter.
The Banyans cut the lead to single digits in the early stages of the second quarter however, behind a 10-2 run at the end of the half, the Royals went into halftime up by 16.
In the third quarter the Banyans fought back behind three pointers from Carson Defries and Halle Shelt. Gwen Tsoukalas was also able to add seven 3rd quarter points to cut into the Royals lead.
Entering the fourth quarter with momentum, the Banyans fought hard to fight back in the game, cutting the lead to 6 with 7 minutes to go, but the Royals proved too much in the end behind an 8-1 run to pull away.
The Banyans' bench was able to score 26 points on the backs of Sierra Moore and Carson Defries.
The next time the Banyans will play will be Saturday February 22 against St. Thomas University at State College of Florida at 2 pm.
