BRADENTON, Fla. - New College men's basketball moves into sole sixth place in Sun Conference after big home win over Coastal Georgia.
The Mighty Banyans put on their most impressive home display of the season in a 109-70 win over Coastal Georgia.
The Banyans dominated for all 40 minutes of play, never relinquishing the lead for the entirety of the ball game.
New College put together a solid first half, scoring 40 points and jumping out to a 12-point lead at the break. The Banyan offense was impressive, knocking down an efficient 43% of their shots from inside the paint and beyond the arc.
Jordan Clark led the way with 13 first-half points, knocking down three crucial threes in the final five minutes of action.
The Banyan offense only improved in the second. The team scored a season-high 69 points in the second half, knocking down over 60% of their shots in the period.
Sophomore guard
Shawn Lefresne stole the show, as he led the way with 20 second-half points en route to a season-high 22-point performance.

Charlie Yoder and
Jordan Clark also enjoyed big second halves. Yoder joined Lefresne, scoring 21 points in the period on 12-18 shooting from the field. Clark scored 11 points in the frame, converting on all but one of his attempts from the field.
The Banyan barrage was too much for the Mariners, who were unable to match the raw production of the New College offense.
Charlie Yoder led the pack with 34 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists.
Jordan Clark scored 24 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
Shawn Lefresne had his best outing of the season, scoring 22 points, grabbing 8 rebounds, and dishing out 7 assists.
The Banyans will look to continue their good form on Wednesday, Feb 12 at State College of Florida against Southeastern.
