NCF Men's and Women's Golf made history Tuesday, hosting the Battle at Black Diamond in Lecanto, which served as the first-ever home tournament for both programs.
The historic event included historic finishes from a pair of Mighty Banyans.

Avery Shahriari became the first tournament winner in NCF history as he shot 5-under par to post a score of 67 in the 56-man, 18-hole tournament to finish in first place.
For the women, junior
Brittany Odic placed fourth out of 39 golfers, finishing just 4-over par to post a score of 76.
As a team, NCF's Men's team finished seventh out of eight teams, behind Shahriari, freshmen
Oscar Munoz and
Jackson Krueger both shot a 78, finishing 6-over par, while junior Sean O'Riley and sophomore
Sean Martin each shot an 82, finishing 10-over.
The NCF Women placed fifth out of seven teams.
Autumn Postlewait finished second on the team behind Odic as she finished 11-over par with a score of 83. Junior
Rebecca Luchs shot an 84 to finish 12-over par, fellow junior
Madison Balaskiewicz shot an 87, finishing 15-over par, while sophomore
Alexa Fallis shot an 87, finishing 17-over par.
NCF Women's Golf will be back in action Sunday-Tuesday at Innisbrook Golf Course in Palm Harbor, while the NCF Men return to action Oct. 12 at the Jupiter Invite.
