NCF Men's Soccer continued its winning ways in its Sun Conference opener as it defeated Warner 3-0 in Lake Wales to improve to 7-0-1 overall on the year.
The win is NCF's second over Warner this season as the Mighty Banyans beat the Royals 3-0 in its Aug. 21 season opener at the NCF Bayfront in a non-conference contest.
Freshman
Cameron Johnson opened the scoring with his sixth goal of the season at the 13:13 mark, striking off an assist from
Fabien Donal.
In the opening seconds of the second half, Johnson struck again as he scored off an assist from
Martin Pascual at the 45:33 mark to make it 2-0.
NCF struck again at the 75:39 mark as
Matthew Dynarski scored his second goal of the season to make it 3-0.
In net, senior goaltender
Mathis Leveque logged his fifth clean sheet of the season but did so Saturday without recording a save as NCF's defense did not allow the Royals to fire off a shot on goal.
The Mighty Banyans will be back in action Wednesday to take on No. 9-ranked Keiser in a massive Sun Conference 1showdown at 11 a.m. in West Palm Beach.
