BRADENTON, Fla. - Two of the hottest volleyball teams in the Sun Conference will do battle at SCF-Bradenton Wednesday when New College of Florida (5-1, 0-1) hosts Southeastern (9-1, 1-0).
The matchup will be NCF's second match of conference play as it looks to bounce back from a 3-2 loss to Ave Maria in its Sun Conference opener.

- NCF went 3-1 in the Mighty Banyan VolleyPalooza last Friday and Saturday to improve to 5-1 on the season. It lost 3-2 to Ave Maria in its first match but then rallied to win three straight, beating Florida National 3-1, Florida College 3-0, and Florida National 3-0 in a rematch.
- Rafaela Domingos won her second straight Sun Conference Setter of the Week Award as she totaled 184 assists and averaged 46 per match during the Mighty Banyan VolleyPalooza. On the season, she has recorded a team-leading 265 assists.
- Wiktoria Telecka was named the Sun Conference Attacker of the Week for her strong weekend at the VolleyPalooza. On the weekend, she logged 56 kills and 10 service aces. She currently leads the Banyans with 85 kills so far this season, just ahead of senior Jayleen Santaigo, who has recorded 83 kills.
- Maria Luiza Barreis, who won Sun Conference Defender of the Week honors in Week 2, leads NCF with 137 digs so far this season.
- Junior Abigail Willis leads NCF with 13 blocks so far this season.
- Southeastern is an impressive 9-1 on the year so far. Of its nine wins, six have come in straight sets, and none have gone to five sets.
- Junior Laura Bonomi leads the Fire with 144 kills so far this season. Graduate student Marysa Connors leads the team with 156 digs, junior Jewel Carling leads the Fire with 21.0 blocks, and sophomore Haven Speer holds the team lead with 245 assists.
