Now 11-5 on the season, the Mighty Banyans are off to its best start in program history.
Game 1
After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the fourth, NCF quickly answered back by plating six in the bottom half of the frame.
Wil Gregory ripped a bases-clearing double with the bases loaded to give the Mighty Banyans the lead at 3-1 and later in the inning,
Domenic Fernandez ripped a two-run double and
Brecken Fair delivered an RBI single.
The Mighty Banyans would add an insurance run in the bottom of the sixth, while on the mound,
Dalton Hill held the Pilots at bay, tossing 6.0 innings of one-run ball while striking out five to earn his first victory of the season.
Game 2
As it did in both Game 2 and 3 of the series, NCF fell behind in the series finale, but this time its comeback effort fell short.
After falling behind 4-0, NCF pulled within one late as
Jesus Fortis ripped an RBI triple and
Rylan Jomisko hit an RBI single in the bottom of the fifth and in the bottom of the sixth,
Andrew Merchant delivered an RBI triple.
However, the Pilots would respond scratching across two in the top of the seventh to put the game out of reach.
