NCF Men's and Women's Golf both completed Kona Ice Keiser Kup Play in West Palm Beach Tuesday, with the men placing ninth out of 11 teams and the women finishing sixth out of eight.
The tournament was a 54-hole, three-round, three-day event with 18 holes played each day.
Men's Tournament
The men's ninth-place finish was headlined by a strong week from both
Sean O'Reilly and
Avery Shahriari.
O'Reilly placed a team-best 22nd in the 64-man tournament as he shot a 224, 11-over par. His best round came on Day 3 as he shot a 70, one under par. Shahriari finished 26th and just one stroke behind O'Reilly at 225.
Oscar Munoz placed 37th, shooting a 227 at 14-over par. He shot an even 71 in his final round.
Jackson Krueger finished 50th, shooting a 237 at 21-over par, while New College Invtional Champion
Gordon Goetz shot a 239 at 23-over par, with his score dropping off the team's final tally.
Women's Tournament
The Mighty Banyan women were led by
Brittany Odic, the country's 35th ranked player, as she shot a 237 at 21-over par, placing 16th in the 50-person tournament. She shot 78's in both the first and second rounds at just six-over par.
Alexa Fallis placed 24th, shooting a 240, headlined by a 77 at 5-over par in Round 1, New College Invtional Champion
Rebecca Luchs shot a 246, placing 26th, while shooting a 77 in the third round, matching Fallis with the team's lowest round at the tournament.
Autumn Postlewait finished 33rd, shooting a 254, while
Gabby Gionta shot a 280, placing in 42nd and her score was taken off New College's final team tally.
Up Next: Both the NCF Men and Women will be back in action April 19-21 for Sun Conference Tournament play in West Palm Beach.
