SARASOTA, Fla. - New College of Florida Women's Lacrosse fell 16-9 to Tennessee Wesleyan on Monday afternoon at NCF Bayfront Field.
Tennessee Wesleyan built an early advantage and controlled the pace throughout the first half, taking a 11-3 lead into halftime.

New College found offensive momentum after halftime and was able to string together several scoring runs, but the early deficit proved too much to overcome.

Bella Bradshaw, Ashley Palmer, Hannah Picott and Makayla Hardware each scored  a pair of goals for the Mighty Banyans while Baylie Dow scored once.

Hardware picked up a team-high two assists while Katie Harris led the Banyans in ground balls with four.

In net, goaltender Abbigail Hardaker made 10 saves.

With the loss, NCF has now dropped three straight and moves to 1-3 on the season.
The Banyans will return home Wednesday to host New England College at 4 p.m. at NCF Bayfront Field.
