SARASOTA, Fla. - New College of Florida women's soccer returns to NCF Bayfront Tuesday, Aug. 25, as the Mighty Banyans welcome Florida National University for their second match of the 2026 season.
Kickoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. EST.
NCF enters Tuesday at 1-0 following a record-setting 16-0 victory over Florida Polytechnic University in its season opener. The Mighty Banyans set new single-game program records for goals, shots and shots on goal, while 11 different players found the back of the net. NCF's 16 goals also surpassed its total of 11 from the entire 2025 season, while its five assists surpassed last season's total of two.
Florida National enters Tuesday at 0-1 after dropping its season opener 2-0 at home against Viterbo University.

RECORD-SETTING START: NCF's 16-0 season-opening victory over Florida Poly saw the Mighty Banyans establish new single-game program records for goals (16), shots (70) and shots on goal (33). NCF scored five times in the first half before adding 11 goals after halftime and held Florida Poly without a shot.
MORE THAN ALL OF 2025: The Mighty Banyans' offensive outburst against Florida Poly surpassed their scoring production from the entire 2025 season. NCF's 16 goals topped its 2025 total of 11, while its five assists were three more than the Mighty Banyans recorded all of last season.
HISTORY FOR WOERNER: Senior Naomi Woerner recorded the first hat trick of her NCF career in the season opener, scoring in the 10th, 15th and 54th minutes. The three-goal performance moved Woerner to nine career goals, making her NCF's all-time leader in goals scored.
BALANCED ATTACK: Eleven different Mighty Banyans found the back of the net Thursday. Woerner led NCF with three goals, while Chloe Nickell, Faith Hardy and Daniela Nieto each scored twice.
IMMEDIATE IMPACT: Several newcomers made an immediate impact in their NCF debuts. Hardy recorded two goals and an assist, Sarah Benjamin finished with a goal and an assist, and Aubrey Mau added a goal and an assist. Emma Todd, Ashlyn Florio, Abigail Craig, Grace Carpenter and Reese John also scored their first collegiate goals.
CLEAN SHEET: Goalkeepers Avaya Wright and Ana Armond Generoso split time in goal against Florida Poly, each playing 45 minutes as the Mighty Banyans did not allow a shot.
SCOUTING THE CONQUISTADORS: Florida National generated 16 shots, including eight on goal, despite being shut out in its 2-0 season-opening loss to Viterbo. Sofia Lorusso led FNU with five shots and four shots on goal, while Maria Franca added four shots. Goalkeeper Andrea Oropeza made three saves.
LOOKING TO EVEN THE SERIES: Tuesday marks the third all-time meeting between NCF and Florida National. The Mighty Banyans are 0-1-1 against the Conquistadors and will be looking for their first victory in the series.
