SARASOTA, Fla. - New College of Florida Women's Soccer will hit the road for the first time this season with a pair of matches in Georgia this weekend, visiting Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College (0-0-0) Saturday before traveling to Wesleyan College (1-0-0) Sunday.

The Mighty Banyans (2-0, 0-0) will open the weekend Saturday at 11 a.m. in Tifton against ABAC before making the trip to Macon for an 11 a.m. match Sunday against Wesleyan.

NCF enters the weekend unbeaten after opening the season with a record-setting 16-0 victory over Florida Polytechnic University before earning a 3-1 victory over Florida National University Tuesday at NCF Bayfront.

Through two matches, the Mighty Banyans have outscored their opponents 19-1 and have already matched their win total from the entire 2025 season.

WEEKEND NOTES 

PERFECT START: NCF is 2-0 for the first time in program history after victories over Florida Poly and Florida National. The Mighty Banyans have already matched their win total from the entire 2025 season through just two matches.

ROAD TRIP: Saturday will mark NCF's first road match of the 2026 season after opening the year with consecutive victories at NCF Bayfront. The Mighty Banyans will play on back-to-back days for the first time this season, traveling from Tifton to Macon following Saturday's match.

AMONG THE NATION'S BEST: NCF enters the weekend ranked second in the NAIA with 19 goals through two matches. The Mighty Banyans are averaging 9.5 goals per match while firing 91 total shots, an average of 45.5 per contest.

SPREADING IT AROUND: Eleven different Mighty Banyans have found the back of the net through the opening two matches. Naomi Woerner leads NCF with four goals, followed by Faith Hardy with three. Chloe Nickell, Daniela Nieto and Grace Carpenter have each scored twice.

WOERNER'S HOT START: Reigning Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week Naomi Woerner has scored in each of NCF's first two matches. After recording a hat trick in the 16-0 season-opening victory over Florida Poly, Woerner opened the scoring against Florida National. Her four goals are tied for fifth nationally and lead The Sun Conference.

CHLOE CREATING CHANCES: Chloe Nickell has been one of NCF's most active attackers through the opening two matches. Nickell has taken 14 shots, tied for fifth nationally, while her six shots on goal lead The Sun Conference. The freshman has recorded two goals and an assist for five points.

HARDY MAKING AN IMPACT: Faith Hardy has recorded a point in each of her first two matches as a Mighty Banyan. Hardy scored twice against Florida Poly before adding a goal and an assist against Florida National. Her three goals rank second in The Sun Conference behind only Woerner.

BETWEEN THE POSTS: Avaya Wright has allowed just one goal across 135 minutes in goal this season. Wright made four saves in Tuesday's victory over Florida National and enters the weekend with an .800 save percentage and 0.67 goals-against average.

ANSWERING THE TEST: After cruising to a 16-0 victory in the season opener, NCF faced its first close contest of the season Tuesday against Florida National. Woerner and Carpenter gave the Mighty Banyans a 2-0 halftime advantage before Hardy added NCF's third goal early in the second half to help secure the 3-1 victory.
