UNBEATEN NCF VOLLEYBALL HEADS TO FLORIDA COLLEGE LADY FALCONS CLASSIC SATURDAY

Off to the best start in program history, New College of Florida volleyball returns to action Saturday as the Mighty Banyans travel to Temple Terrace for a pair of matches at the Florida College Lady Falcons Classic.

NCF (7-0, 0-0) will open the day at 10 a.m. against Life University before taking on tournament host Florida College at 2 p.m.

The Mighty Banyans enter the weekend following a perfect 4-0 showing at the La Tribu Invitational in Marietta, Georgia. NCF defeated William Carey, Reinhardt, Point and Johnson (Tenn.).

PERFECT THROUGH SEVEN

NCF enters its third weekend of action at a perfect 7-0 after going undefeated at each of its first two tournaments of the season.

The Mighty Banyans opened the year 3-0 at the Mighty Banyan VolleyPalooza with victories over Bethel, No. 24 Mobile and William Carey before adding four more wins last weekend at the La Tribu Invitational.

NCF has won 21 of its 28 sets played this season while posting victories over seven opponents across its first two weekends.
 


SETTING THE PACE

Through seven matches, NCF leads The Sun Conference in points per set (17.64) and service aces per set (3.21), while sharing the conference lead with 12.00 assists per set.

The Mighty Banyans also rank second in the conference with a .243 hitting percentage, third with 12.68 kills per set and third with 1.75 blocks per set.

NCF has been equally impressive at limiting opposing attacks, holding opponents to 8.75 kills per set and a .135 hitting percentage, both the second-best marks in The Sun Conference.



AMONG THE NATION'S BEST

Senior Wiktoria Telecka continues to establish herself as one of the top attackers in the NAIA.

Telecka enters Saturday ranked fourth nationally with 127 kills and fourth with 4.54 kills per set. She leads The Sun Conference in kills per set and points per set (5.48), while ranking third with a .290 hitting percentage.

Through 28 sets, Telecka has also recorded 20 service aces and 153.5 total points.

Telecka was named The Sun Conference Attacker of the Week after helping lead the Mighty Banyans to their 4-0 weekend in Marietta.

The senior totaled 73 kills across 16 sets, averaging 4.56 kills per set, while adding eight service aces and 83.5 total points.

The award marked Telecka's fourth career Sun Conference Attacker of the Week honor after earning the recognition three times during the 2025 season.


DOUBLE TROUBLE

Telecka and senior Soraya Nacero have formed one of The Sun Conference's most productive attacking duos through the opening two weekends.

Nacero ranks fourth in the conference with 3.59 kills per set after recording 97 kills through 27 sets. She also ranks fifth with a .267 hitting percentage and second with 0.74 service aces per set.

Together, Telecka and Nacero have accounted for 224 of NCF's 355 kills and 40 of the Mighty Banyans' 90 service aces.


NATIONAL SETTER OF THE WEEK

Sophomore Addison Phillippe was named the NAIA National Setter of the Week following her performance at the La Tribu Invitational.

Phillippe helped direct NCF to four victories in Marietta, recording 176 assists across 16 sets for an average of 11.00 assists per set. She also contributed 23 digs, nine service aces and eight total blocks during the tournament.

Through seven matches, Phillippe has totaled 303 assists and ranks second in the NAIA with 10.82 assists per set. She also leads The Sun Conference in the category.

Phillippe was also named The Sun Conference Setter of the Week for her performance.


DIGGING IN

Sophomore Khalia Horta leads the Mighty Banyans with 123 digs through seven matches, averaging 4.39 per set to rank sixth in The Sun Conference.

Freshman Katelyn Pulver has made her presence felt at the net, leading NCF with 21 total blocks. Pulver's 0.78 blocks per set rank second in The Sun Conference.
