SAVANNAH, Ga. – The New College of Florida Mighty Banyan men's soccer team fell to SCAD Savannah to fall to 0-2 in Sun Conference play.

Coming off the heels of a heartbreaking 1-0 loss to NAIA No. 18 Keiser, the Banyans hoped to bounce back in another Sun Conference match up, as they traveled to Savannah, Ga to take on the 2-2-2 Bees.

SCAD continued to apply pressure, keeping the New College defense on their heels, and outpacing the Banyans with five shots on goal in the first half.

The Banyans offense struggled to match the Bees output in the opening half, recording only 4 shots in the half, all off-target.

The Bees added another goal to their first-half tally in the 32nd minute, when SCAD's leading scorer Mario Goic converted on a rebound attempt, extending their lead to two.

The Banyans defense picked up the intensity to end the first half, as they kept the 2-0 scoreline stable till the half-time whistle.

The Banyans turned their offense around in the second half. Fabien Donal notched the Banyans first goal of the night and his first goal of the season in the 46th minute. Donal added a second goal just seven minutes later for the first brace of the season for the Banyans, tying the game 2-2.
