SARASOTA, Fla. - NCF freshman goaltender
Avaya Wright made a program single-game record 19 saves Wednesday, but it wasn't quite enough to lead the Mighty Banyans past No. 1 ranked Keiser as the Seahawks earned a 2-0 victory at the NCF Bayfront in a rematch of a Sept. 19 contest.
Wright made 15 saves before Keiser finally got on the board as Lauren Riley scored the eventual game-winner at the 75:15 mark.
Riley added an insurance goal at the 84:45 that ended NCF's comeback hopes.
With the loss, NCF drops to 1-8-0 overall on the year and 1-1 in Sun Conference play.
The Mighty Banyans will be back in action Saturday in Babson Park where it will battle Webber in a 3:30 p.m. EST match.
