BSARASOTA, Fla. - NCF Men's Soccer suffered its first home loss of the season and first-ever loss at the new NCF Bayfront Field Saturday, falling to SCAD Savannah 1-0 in an intense Sun Conference match.
The Mighty Banyans outshot the Bees 16-11 overall and got off eight shots on goal, while SCADÂ only fired off six on target, but a free kick goal from Mario Goic at the 64:39 mark proved to be all SCAD needed to leave the Sunshine State with the victory.
Mathis Leveque made five saves for the Mighty Banyans in the victory, while both
Ducamel Jeannestin and
Cameron Johnson fired off two shots on target.
NCF falls to 9-2-1 overall and 2-2 in Sun Conference play with the loss, while SCAD stayed unbeaten at 4-0 in conference play with the victory.
The Mighty Banyans will be back in action Wednesday at St. Thomas in a 6:00 p.m. EST Sun Conference match.
