NCF Cruises To 6-0 Senior Day Victory Over Florida Memorial

SARASOTA, Fla. - NCF Men's Soccer honored its 12 Seniors in style Wednesday as it earned a 6-0 Sun Conference win over Florida Memorial on Senior Day at the NCF Bayfront.

A pair of seniors wasted no-time giving NCF an early lead as Fabien Donal scored on a pass from fellow senior Sebastian Pedraza at the 6:29 mark to give the Mighty Banyans an early 1-0 lead.

Less than a minute later, NCF tacked on another as sophomore Ducamel Jeannestin scored his 12th goal of the season off an assist from freshman Cameron Johnson to make it 2-0.

NCF would take that 2-0 lead into halftime and shortly after the break, added insurance as Johnson scored his 13th goal of the season off Pedraza's second assist of the match to make it 3-0.

Jeannestin struck again at the 69:35 mark to match Johnson for the team lead with 13 goals on the year and make it 4-0.

NCF would add two more late goals for insurance as sophomore Matthew Dynarski scored his third goal of the year off an assist from senior Juan Maya and senior Tomas Gonzalez, called up from varsity reserve for the Senior Day match, scored on a header off a Juan Palomino corner kick with six seconds remaining in the match to give the Mighty Banynas a 6-0 victory.

With the win, NCF is now 11-3-1 overall and sits at 4-3-0 in Sun Conference play. The Mighty Banyans have clinched a spot in the Sun Conference Tournament and, if the season ended today, would be the fourth seed in the tournament.

In net, senior Mathis Leveque posted his sixth clean sheet of the season, recording four saves. It was his second clean sheet against FMU this season.

The Mighty Banyans will finish regular season play next Wednesday at Ave Maria.
