Cameron Johnson's Hat Trick Leads NCF Men's Soccer Past Webber

SARASOTA, Fla. - NCF Men's Soccer bounced back from its first loss of the season, suffered Wednesday at Keiser, with a 5-1 win over Webber Saturday at the NCF Bayfront, improving the Mighty Banyans to 8-1-1 overall and 2-1 in Sun Conference play.

NCF wasted no time pulling in front as Ducamel Jeannestin scored his ninth goal of the season at the 6:20 mark to put the Mighty Banyans ahead 1-0.

Later in the half, defending Sun Conference Offensive Player of the Week Cameron Johnson scored his first of what would be a three-goal performance, putting in a Fabien Donal pass at the 33:06 mark to help give NCF a 2-0 lead that it would take into halftime.

Early in the second half, Johnson struck again as he took advantage of a perfect pass from Jeannestin pass to make it 3-0 at the 50:41 mark.

Webber would score on a penalty kick at the 55:06 mark to make it 3-1, but the Banyans would answer back twice as Donel cased in on a Johnson assist to make it 4-1 at the 78:11 mark and less than 20 seconds later, Johnson completed his first collegiate hat trick and scored his 10th goal of the season putting in NCF's fifth and final goal of the day at the 78:25 mark.

In net, Mathis Leveque made four saves for NCF, allowing just one goal coming on the penalty kick from Webber's Jesus Perez.

The win gives NCF a regular season sweep of the Warriors as the Mighty Banyans beat Webber 2-0 in Babson Park on Sept. 20 during non-conference play.

The Mighty Banyans will be back in action Tuesday when it takes a break from Sun Conference play to travel to Temple Terrace, where it will take on  Florida College in a 6:30 p.m. EST match.
