NCF Volleyball finished its second regular season in program history with a 3-1 victory in Babson Park over Sun Conference foe Webber Wednesday to finish the season with an outstanding 18-4 overall record and a 10-4 mark in Sun Conference play.
The Mighty Banyans dominated its way through the first set, winning 25-13 to take a 1-0 lead.
NCF then jumped in front 13-10 in the second set and from there once again flexed its muscle, closing out the set on a 12-2 run to win 25-12 and take a commanding 2-0 lead.
The Warriors bounced back to win the third set 25-23, but NCF would close things out with a 25-21 fourth set victory to earn the 3-1 win.
Jayleen Santiago led the Mighty Banyans with 21 kills while
Wiktoria Telecka (14) and
Soraya Nacero (11) also recorded double-digit kills.
Nacero added a team-high six service aces and also recorded 17 digs.
At the net, Abigial Willis logged a season-high 10.0 total blocks while Telecka recorded a season-high 7.0 blocks.
Rafaela Domingos posted a team-high 45 assists while also sharing the team lead in digs at 19 with
Maria Luiza Barreis.
The win was NCF's second over Webber this season, joining a 3-2 Oct. 1 home victory.
NCF will now await the start of Sun Conference Tournament play, where it will be the No. 3 seed and host either Webber or Warner in quarterfinal play at SCF-Bradenton on Nov. 11. The quarterfinals start time will be announced at a later date.
