NCF Women's Basketball will take a three-game winning streak and a 7-4 overall record into the Winter Break as it earned a 68-48 road win at Fort Lauderdale Saturday.
The victory also gave NCF a season sweep of the Eagles as it defeated Fort Lauderdale 83-42 at home Monday. It was NCF's third win of the week, also joining a 73-44 home win over Trinity College that came Wednesday.
Friday's road victory saw NCF take a commanding 24-10 lead after the first quarter and never look back as the Mighty Banyans led nearly wire-to-wire in the 19-point win.
CiCi Moore scored a team-high 20 points and was joined in double figures by
Gwen Tsoukalas with 19 points.
Moore led NCF with seven rebounds and three blocks while Tsoukalas picked up a team-leading four steals.
Other notable performers for the Mighty Banyans included point guard
Camila Zbynski, who scored seven points, dished a team-high seven assists, grabbed three rebounds and picked up three steals as well as
Julia Pacheco, who scored eight points off the bench while adding three rebounds, a block, a steal and an assist.
NCF will return to action Jan. 3 at Keiser in a 2 p.m. EST Sun Conference showdown.
