SARASOTA, Fla. - New College of Florida Men's Soccer earned a 3-0 victory over Warner Thursday in its regular season opener and the first-ever game played at NCF's Bayfront Field.
Ducamel Jeannestin opened the scoring with a goal at the 33:06 mark in the first half that gave the Mighty Banyans a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
In the second half, freshman
Cameron Johnson scored his first collegiate goal at the 47:29 mark to make it 2-0, and at the 86:01 mark,
Andrew Scott added the exclamation point goal with the third Mighty Banyan goal of the evening.
In net,
Mathis Leveque recorded a shutout with a four-save evening.
The Mighty Banyans will be back in action Saturday in Temple Terrace, where they will take on Florida College in an 11:30 a.m. showdown.
