BRADENTON, FLA. - New College of Florida opened its season in style as it defeated Loyola New Orleans (5-4) in four sets at SCF-Bradenton Thursday in its first match under new head coach David McFatrich.
NCF won the first set 25-20 and, after falling 25-15 in the second set, came back to win the third set 25-17 and close out the victory with a 25-22 win in the fourth set.

Wiktoria Telecka led the Mighty Banyans with 24.0 points as she logged 13 kills, eight service aces and an assist. Senior
Jayleen Santiago recorded a team-high 17 kills to finish with 18.0 points.Â
2024 Sun Conference first-team All Sun Conference selection
Rafaela Domingos logged 38 assists to lead the Mighty Banyans while also recording 13 digs.

Maria Luiza Barreis posted a team-high 14 digs for NCF.
The Mighty Banyans will be back in action Sunday when they take on Park Gilbert (AZ). The match will be played at Temple Terrace's Florida College with NCF serving as the home team.Â
