SARASOTA, Fla. - NCF Women's Soccer opened Sun Conference play in style as it earned its first victory of the 2025 season by blanking the Warner Royals 2-0 at the NCF Bayfront.
The win was the first for NCF head coach Lipovetsky, leading the Mighty Banyans.
Both of the Mighty Banyans' goals came in the first half as
Naomi Woerner scored her first goal of the season at the 20:32 mark and
Summer Steele scored her first goal of the season at the 30:09 mark.
In net, sophomore
Maria Schatzl recorded a clean sheet, notching two saves in her second save of the season.
NCF is now 1-7-0 overall and 1-0 in conference play. It will be back in action Wednesday when No. 1-ranked Keiser makes its second trip to Sarasota of the season for a 1 p.m. EST Sun Conference showdown.Â
