NCF Women's Basketball fell 53-38 on the road at Ave Maria Wednesday as the Gyrenes completed a season sweep of the Mighty Banyans.
The Gyrenes jumped out to a 20-9 lead after one quarter of play and never looked back as the Mighty Banyans dropped their seventh straight game.
NCF was led in scoring by
Gwen Tsoukalas with 11 points.
Sania Thomas grabbed a team-high nine rebounds for the Mighty Banyans,
Camila Zbynski dished a team-leading two assists, Tsoukalas picked up a team-high four steals, while both Thomas and
Halle Shelt had a block in the loss.
With the loss, NCF is now 7-11 on the season overall and 0-9 in Sun Conference play. The Mighty Banyans will be back in action Saturday when it hosts Keiser at 2 p.m. EST.
