BRADNETON, Fla. - NCF Women's Basketball fell 51-31 at home to Keiser Saturday in a strong defensive battle in its first home game in over two weeks.
The Mighty Banyans found themselves in a 37-19 hole at halftime but put together an impressive second half effort on defense, holding the Seahawks to just 14 points in an eventual 20-point loss.
NCF was led in scoring by
Gwen Tsoukalas with nine points.
Point guard
Camila Zbynski led the Mighty Banyans with five rebounds and two steals,
Julia Pacheco dished a team-leading two assists and
CiCi Moore blocked a team-leading two shots.
With the loss, NCF is now 7-12 overall on the year and 0-10 in Sun Conference play.
NCF will be back in action when it hosts Florida Memorial Wednesday. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
