BRADENTON - NCF Women's Basketball fell 93-60 to Sun Conference foe Coastal Georgia Wednesday at SCF-Bradenton.
The Mariners' fast-paced offense led to 14 three-pointers while its pressure on the defensive end forced NCF into 34 turnovers.
Despite allowing 93 points, NCF's defense was able to cause 20 turnovers, picking up 11 steals.
Despite the loss, NCF had several individual standout performers as
Gwen Tsoukalas scored a team-high 20 points, shooting a strong 8-for-14 from the field and 3-for-8 from three. She was joined in double figures by
Tatiana Jackson, who scored 12 points.
CiCi Moore led the Mighty Banyans with nine rebounds, Jackson picked up a team-high four steals, Camila  Zbynski dished a team-leading four assists, while
Julia Pacheco, Tsoukalas and
Renita Harris each recorded a block.
NCF is now 7-6 overall on the season and 0-4 in Sun Conference play. It will be back in action Saturday in Lakeland to take on RV Southeastern at 2 p.m. EST.
