A LOOK BACK AT THE FIRST MEETING

New College defeated Keiser 3-1 at home on Oct. 3. The teams split the first two sets before the Mighty Banyans won the third and fourth.

Wiktoria Telecka led NCF with 21 kills and six service aces, hitting .425 and finishing with 28 points. Addison Phillippe distributed 28 assists, while Khalia Horta collected 23 digs and four assists.

Cece Worsham recorded 10 kills, 14 digs and two service aces for Keiser.

THIRD SEED ON THE LINE

New College has secured a home quarterfinal in The Sun Conference Tournament and enters Saturday one match ahead of Keiser for third place. A win would give NCF the No. 3 seed outright. A loss would leave both teams at 8-6 with a split season series, making their head-to-head set record the first point of separation.

If Keiser wins in five sets, New College earns the No. 3 seed with a 5-4 advantage in sets across the two meetings. A four-set Keiser win would leave the teams even at 4-4 in sets, sending the decision to the conference's next tiebreaker. A Keiser sweep would give the Seahawks a 4-3 advantage in sets and the No. 3 seed, with NCF taking No. 4.

The No. 3 seed hosts No. 6, and the No. 4 seed hosts No. 5. St. Thomas and Southeastern have secured the two quarterfinal byes. The top seed will host the semifinals and final.

TWO WINS TO CLOSE THE HOME SCHEDULE

New College opened the week by rallying from two sets down to defeat Florida College in five sets Monday. The Mighty Banyans followed with a Senior Night victory over Webber International on Wednesday to complete the regular-season sweep of the Warriors.

A win Saturday would give NCF three victories in the final week of the regular season.
