SARASOTA, Fla. - For the second time in less than a month, NCF senior right-hander Ryan Swartz has been named the Sun Conference Pitcher of The Week.

Swartz, who earned Sun Conference and NAIA Pitcher Of The Week honors in Week 1 of the season, tossed 6.0 innings of scoreless ball in an 8-0 series opening win over Bethel Friday. He struck out 10 Pilots, walked just one, hit a batter and allowed just one hit (an infield single).

The win moved Swartz, a Sarasota native, to 3-0 on the season and lowered his ERA to 2.05.
