Box Score 2 at BRADENTON, Fla. - NCF Men's and Women's Tennis made program history Wednesday afternoon, hosting its first-ever home match at IMG Academy against Sun Conference foe Southeastern.
The men were defeated 4-2 by the No. 3-ranked Fire while the women fell 4-0 to Southeastern's No. 8 ranked women's team.

At No. 1Â singles, Timothy Phung delivered a pivotal win for the Banyans with a straight-set victory over a tough opponent, giving New College an early spark. At No. 5 singles, Pedro Lemos secured another singles point with a 6-2, 6-4 victory, keeping the team's hopes alive deep into the lineup
The doubles-point favored Southeastern, however and a Javier Gallego victory over Carlos Quinones at the No. 2 singles spot served as the clincher for the visiting Fire.
Women's Recap
The Fire women took the doubles point to go up 1-0 and in singles, Gia Rizzo at the No. 6, (0-6, 0-6), at the No. 5 Alexandra Sibrikova (0-6, 0-6) and Camila Cardona-Carballosa at the No. 1 (1-6, 1-6) each lost in straight sets allowing Southeastern to secure the sweep.
