The New College of Florida women's lacrosse team dropped its neutral-site matchup with Adrian College, 20-5, at Warner University in Lake Wales Saturday in its first game away from home this season.
Adrian raced out to the lead and never relinquished control as it struck early and built momentum throughout the first half, leading 11-1 at intermission and extending that margin through the third quarter before closing the game up by 15.
New College managed five goals, with
Ashley Palmer and
Makayla Hardware  scoring twice while
Bella Bradshaw added a lone tally for the Mighty Banyans.
Offensively, NCF generated 15 shots and seven shots on goal, but was outpaced by Adrian's more productive attack. Defensively, the Mighty Banyans faced sustained pressure that limited extended possessions and scoring chances.
NCF returns home to face Tennessee-Wesleyan at NCF Bayfront on Monday at 4 p.m.
