NCF Women's Lacrosse fell on the road to No. 8 Ave Maria, 19-6 Saturday in its 2026 regular season finale.

Ave Maria surged early, scoring six goals in the opening quarter and adding seven more in the second to take a commanding 13-1 lead into halftime.

Makayla Hardware led the Banyans offensively, scoring three goals. Hardware also added an assist. Ashley Palmer scored two goals and contributed four draw controls, while Abbigail Hardaker recorded nine saves in goal. Hannah Picott also scored in the loss.

New College showed fight in the second half, scoring five goals across the final two periods, including two from Hardware and a pair from Palmer.

Defensively, the Banyans totaled 18 ground balls and forced six caused turnovers, with Hardaker leading the team with eight ground balls.

NCF finishes the regular season 5-10 overall and 1-5 in Sun Conference play. It will play Thursday in West Palm Beach as the No. 6 seed in the Sun Conference Tournament.
