SARASOTA, Fla. - NCF Beach Volleyball made history Wednesday as, by ranking No. 6 in the NAIA Top 10 Poll, the program becomes the first at New College to be ranked in an NAIA national poll.

The team entered the season as Receiving Votes, the first in program history to receive votes entering a season.

NCF received 43 votes in the poll and at No. 6 are the highest among any teams in the Sun Conference.

The ranking comes thanks to a dominant 4-0 start to the season that has seen the Mighty Banyans defeat conference foes Florida Memorial, Truett McConnell and Spartanburg Methodist 5-0 and St. Thomas 4-1.

The Mighty Banyans will welcome Lake-Sumter State College to Banyan Beach Saturday.
