- New College of Florida defeated RV Warner 16-12 at home Thursday to earn its first-ever Sun Conference win in program history and earn the final spot in next week's Sun Conference Tournament.
- Bella Bradshaw led the attack against Warner with four goals and an assist, while Ashley Palmer added four goals of her own. Hannah Picott finished with three goals and two assists, and Makayla Hardware contributed two goals and three assists in a five-point performance. Baylie Dow added two goals, while Ariana Jerz also scored for the Banyans.
- Defensively in the victory, the Banyans made key contributions across the field, totaling 16 ground balls and 11 caused turnovers. Picott led the way with six ground balls and two caused turnovers, while Hardware added four ground balls and a caused turnover. Amanda Pickens anchored the defensive effort with a team-high six caused turnovers, and Abbigail Hardaker made 10 saves in goal.
- Hardaker surpassed the 100-save threshold in the win over Warner while Hardware enters Saturday's contest just one point away from eaching 50 on the season.
